BETWEEN NARCISSISM AND SELF-CONFIDENCE

The world has a name for everything we do.

Love yourself less than they expect of you- Low self-esteem. 
Love yourself more than they find comfortable - Narcissism.
Ask them, how much is too much? Everyone is clueless. 

People largely see themselves the way the world has conditioned them to. 
They do that until another eloquent influencer on social media or at their places of worship tells them they should behave otherwise and why. 

There's only one way I know to not lose ourselves in the confusion:
Submitting ourselves to the spirit of humility while also glorying in our abilities and identity in Christ makes for the perfect balance.


For someone like me who is never interested in playing modest to appease the ego of mediocre folks, I love the liberty that being in Christ affords me. 
I can love and appreciate the life that I have, and make my boast in the one who owns me. Oh how I love the boasting part. I'm darn good at everything I do. God's grace keeps me afloat. Yeah yeah. I'm proud and boastful and self-confident like that! 😎

The Almighty God and the Father of all, in Him and Him alone do I seek my validation.

One of the strongest reasons many children of God turn away from Him is that they are embarrassed about how often they go back to rededicate their lives after falling into the same sin again and again. They then conclude that this "born-again Christian" life is not for them after all. Truly, it is not easy to be all prim and proper at all times — never to be caught exchanging angry words with annoying folks online, never to be seen having marital issues, never to be caught in a white lie. WHEN THE PATRIARCHY STRIKES

Went shopping for a washing machine with my uncle the other day. He'd offered to accompany me because my preferred brand was quite scarce.  On getting to the first store, we discovered the price was above my budget for that product and so we had to leave. We went to another store but the prices were even higher, so we returned to the first. "Welcome back, oga ," I heard the manager say as we arrived. Then he proceeded to ask my uncle what our final decision concerning the product we'd priced earlier was.
